Exam Results--Statistics and Math
A Professor gave this statement regarding a statistics and math qualification exam he'd given to his students:
"Total students taking the exam was 694, 119 of them girls. 176, including 37 girls failed both. Those earning honors in statistics was 84, and 24 of them failed math. 229 boys and 55 girls failed statistics. 261 of the total failed math, 47 of them girls. Boys passing both without honors in statistics was 270."
Is this statement consistent?

Of course not; if it were this wouldn't be here. There are several inconsistencies. Here is one of them: 139 boys failed both, so 436 boys passed one or more. 76 passed statistics only, 91 passed math only and 270 passed statistics and math, for a total of 437. But 139 boys failed both, leaving 436 passing one or more. There are others. Find two.
